A few musings from Kansas by a high school literature teacher. Over the past few months, this blog has turned a commentary on media. I will probably continue to focus on film and television, but books and music might sneak in... The Ice Harvest - It's about a guy who steals money from the mob and is desperately trying to get out of Wichita at Christmas time. Hmmm... stuck in Kansas...could be fun! :-) It also stars John Cusack. I'll probably wait for a recommendation from a trustworthy source, but I like the Kansas angle.

I am a Literature teacher in Kansas. Currently, I am wondering if it is possible to communicate a passion for Lit in a way that my students will catch the same passion...or any passion for that matter! :-) (Ahh - the joys of communicating a deep love of language to high school students with the added challenge of quite possibly having the worst spelling in the history of English teachers. ) :-)

thanks for all the great trailers! i always enjoy john cusak, so ice harvest sounds great. the new potter movie looks exciting as well.
